■ Our family History
Born in 1835, Théophile Blondel bought the land we have now. His daughter married Alfred Moreau in 1879 and he was the first to produce our Champagne in 1890. Their daughter went on to marry Gilbert Mea in 1901 who took over the business in 1920.
They had three children, including a daughter, Henreitte. She married Henry Louvet in 1943. He followed in his father-in-law's steps and ran the business in the 1950's. They had two children - a girl and a boy who also worked with him - the latter producing from 1975 onwards.
In turn, his son, Frédéric, started producing in 2006, therefore becoming the sixth generation of wine producers and the fifth in the line of Champagne producers.
